Story
Our Institutional History
Emmanuel Lutheran Global Seminary was founded as a ministry of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Naples, FL, in the Spring of 2017 in response to local, national, and global theological education needs. Our implementation of innovative pedagogies equips a new generation of leaders to preach, teach, and reach others for Christ.

Simply put, a logo is more than just a design; it’s a story. The Emmanuel Lutheran Global Seminary logo embodies our Lutheran mission to educate and empower faith leaders worldwide. Elements and colors are drawn from Martin Luther's Rose.
The golden ring communicates the eternal bliss of heaven and the preciousness of God's love and promise of Salvation. The blackness of the cross reflects our pain and sin, surrounded by the red heart reminding us the righteous live by Faith in Christ. The sky blue field reflects heavenly joy.
The initials of ELGS intentionally represent the dove of peace, God's Word within the Bible, an oil lamp and the Light of Christ.
The included colors are also significant: The red flame signifies the Holy Spirit and spiritual growth, the blue and green arcs represent progress and community, and the gold conveys excellence and tradition.
When someone sees this logo, they are reminded of our commitment to faith, service, and education on a global scale.
